What is Airsoft?
Airsoft as a sport is still relatively unknown in the public eye, the best way to describe it is it's a combat sport not unlike paintball but with less pain, more realistic game scenarios and better weaponry. Go away from a day's airsofting and you'll realise this isn't a sport - it's an obsession!!
Airsofting or Airsoft Skirmishing is a combat sport in which teams will compete in carrying out objectives over a range of game scenarios. Airsoft guns or "AEG's" (Automatic Electric Gun) are battery powered and fire small 6mm plastic B.B's (Ball Bullets) in either semi auto or full auto depending on your mood.... or sometimes the game in play. As B.B's do not leave a mark when they hit, Airsoft uses an honour system whereby the hit player will shout 'hit' and put their arm in the air to show they have been hit.
Safety and Rules:
At all times players must obey the site rules and the word of the marshals is final. Players are issued with a facemask which must be worn at all times during play. No guns will be taken into the safe area with a magazine in and safety's must be on when play has ceased. All applicable safety instructions and rules will be explained before the start of the day's play.
